Lo Shu Grid Calculator

The Lo Shu grid is a 3×3 numerology square that places the digits of your date of birth into fixed positions. Enter your birth date to see which numbers you carry, which are missing, and the strength and missing ‘arrows’ formed across the grid.

How the Lo Shu grid works

Every digit of your full date of birth (zeros aside) is placed into its fixed cell of the ancient Saturn magic square. Numbers that repeat strengthen their cell, and numbers absent from your date are ‘missing’. When all three numbers of a row, column or diagonal are present it forms a strength ‘arrow’; when all three are absent it forms a missing arrow — each read as a tendency and a possible area for growth.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Lo Shu grid?
The Lo Shu grid is a 3×3 magic square from Chinese numerology in which each cell holds a fixed number from 1 to 9. Placing the digits of your birth date into it shows which numbers and patterns you carry.
What do missing numbers in the Lo Shu grid mean?
A missing number is simply a digit that does not appear in your date of birth. Traditionally it is read as a quality to develop consciously — a growth area, not a flaw or a fixed weakness.
What are Lo Shu arrows or planes?
An arrow is a complete line of three numbers across a row, column or diagonal. A line where all three numbers are present is a strength arrow; a line where all three are missing is a missing arrow, pointing to an area you can work on.
Which date do I use for the Lo Shu grid?
Use your full date of birth — day, month and year. Every non-zero digit is placed into its fixed cell in the grid.
Is the Lo Shu grid a prediction?
No. The Lo Shu grid describes traditional numerology associations and is best used as a lens for self-reflection, not as a prediction of your future.
