Each page gives the verse in Devanagari, a readable transliteration, the sense in plain English, the traditional count, and when the tradition prescribes chanting it. Most of these are families rather than single verses — "Shani mantra" alone covers five.
The three kinds you will meet
A beej ("seed") mantra is short and made largely of sound-syllables that carry no dictionary meaning — they are tuned to a graha rather than describing it. A moola ("root") mantra is the plain salutation, usually the shortest and the one given first. A stotra is a longer hymn of praise, often several verses, recited rather than counted. Most pages here carry all three, because the same search term covers all three.
Why the count is 108
A mala has 108 beads, and one full round is the standard unit of practice. The number has several traditional explanations — the 27 nakshatras multiplied by their four padas is the one closest to this site's subject. What matters practically is that a round is a fixed, countable commitment: tradition consistently treats an unbroken daily round as worth more than an occasional long session.
Choosing one
A mantra is traditionally chosen for a placement in your chart, not for a planet in general — which is why "the mantra for Saturn" is the wrong question and "is Saturn currently transiting my Moon" is the right one. Each page below ends with the calculation that settles it. Where you are unsure, the moola form is the one tradition gives to beginners.
